My problem is more with HP's sales mentality than with this specific model of printer. Overall Review: I'm sure this printer functions perfectly fine and would otherwise be satisfactory. This will be the last HP printer I ever buy, possibly the last HP product. Not making those setup cartridges available for purchase is absolutely ridiculous and I cannot accept that.
Requiring the use of of a setup cartridge seems kinda dumb, but I can accept that. HP has been uncooperative and I have never even been able to use this printer. There's the cost of the printer gone there. I took a gamble and bought 2 separate setup cartridges off the internet, but those wouldn't work since they weren't for my exact model of printer (same cartridge model). I asked what could be done and was told that I could only buy a new printer since I had waited too long to contact them. I took a while getting around to trying to remedy this problem and when I did, HP was no help.Ī new ink cartridge was useless because the setup had not been done yet, money gone there, so I called HP to ask about buying a new setup cartridge and was told I could not buy a setup cartridge. Pros: Well featured for the price, never was able to use the printer in order to find out any other pros.Ĭons: My dog chewed up the black setup ink cartridge before I was able to use this printer.
